KONZI

BAND BIO

KONZI is an Indie/Alt Rock band from Austin, Texas. The band was formed during the depths of the 2020 pandemic, arguably one of the darkest moments in the recent history of creativity, with one goal... To never let the music die. With that goal and the band's thoughtfully crafted song-scapes, KONZI recorded their debut self-titled album throughout 2020 and 2021. KONZI worked hand in hand with the late and dearly missed Daniel Sahad of Nane, recording and mixing engineer Charles Godfrey of Scary American studios (Yeah Yeah Yeahs/Third Eye Blind/Portugal the Man), and Bubbles Studios founder/producer/engineer, Chris "Frenchie" Smith (The Darkness/Jets/The Toadies).

Writing and recording an album during the pandemic inspired the band to explore themselves to new heights and consequently write music with new depth. They channeled their isolation and uncertainty into something tangible, something positive. KONZI painted worlds of adventure and escape and brought them to life in their debut singles "Bonnie and Clyde", "In the Ether", and "Free Your Mind".

KONZI is lead by singer/songwriter Forrest Garner's attention grabbing vocals, Shawn Byrwa's explosive guitar licks, Garrett Horlacher's rhythmic bass tones, Carly Jo Jackson's infectious harmonies, and Ulises Chavez's energetic drum grooves. KONZI is on a path to trail-blaze the music industry with the same sense of spirited adventure that was roused within them during the band's formation.
